Well a week ago we probably wouldn’t have suggest this at all because the temps were so bitterly cold and there was so much snow…but thankfully the weather is beautiful for the next little while. It’s time for you to come to The Muse (and not just to hibernate in some other place during the pandemic!) and get out and enjoy the outdoors.
The “MKE It An Ice Day” series is on downtown with an 8-foot-tall sculpture of two bears outside the Marcus Performing Arts Center at 929 N. Water St.
And an ice sculpture of angel wings will be outside of Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel at 139 E. Kilbourn Ave. There will also be a light show and heart-shaped ice sculpture will be outside of the Milwaukee Public Market between Clybourn Street and St. Paul Avenue.
Did you know that when you visit downtown Milwaukee you can ride all around for free on The Hop? What’s that? It’s a modern streetcar system that is 2.1-miles long and connects the Intermodal Station and Downtown to the Lower East Side and Historic Third Ward neighborhoods. Info about how to hop – stops and real time vehicle info can be found at thehopmke.com.
So dress up warmly and get out to see the ice, lights and bears!
