December 8th marks the 7th annual Christmas on KK event in our neighborhood. Businesses along the CKK 2023 map will offer raffle prizes, holiday food & drink specials, activities and more for families & children from 5:00- 8:00 pm during this beloved Bay View tradition. Visit christmasonkk.com for more information, including raffle prize listings and activities schedule.
The opening ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Interval coffee shop – 2268 S Kinnickinnic Ave. (Rumor has it that if you begin to gather there around 4:45pm, Santa just might make an appearance!) Our alderwoman will lead with a few opening remarks followed by a few carols and culminating with the tree lighting ceremony.
Other fun activities include Santa letter writing at Colectivo – 2301 S Kinnickinnic Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53207. Kids can write their letter to Santa anywhere in the cafe, place it in an envelope, and drop it in the mailbox to be sent to the North Pole. All letters submitted during CKK will get a mailed response from Santa ahead of Christmas!
The Magnet Factory MKE will be hosting their annual Holiday PopUpShop in tandem with Christmas on KK! There you can browse beautiful wares from a ton of local artists, buy your CKK raffle tickets, and submit tickets for Milwaukee Community Acupuncture, The Muse Gallery Guesthouse, Healium Hot Yoga, Pabst Mansion, and Slacker Pösse!
The Tonic Tavern at 2335 S Kinnickinnic Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207 returns to CKK as the Krampus Krawl home base. The beasts will begin their Krawl at Tonic at 8:00pm and head out to visit as many CKK businesses as possible before the night is done. Catch the Krampus early on at Tonic, or find them out & about on KK…if you ask politely, maybe you’ll score a selfie with your favorite horrific-yet-cuddly creature! **Remember, the Krampus Krawl is entirely subject to weather – the Krampus are unable to venture out in rain.**
- Christmas on KK is a benefit for the Bay View Community Center. Businesses will be selling and collecting CKK raffle tickets for fabulous prizes and all CKK raffle ticket proceeds go directly to Bay View Community Center’s Emergency Food Pantry service.
